|
|
Hi Norm,
Would it be possible to add sort options to the report? I am using your program to track my audio collection, and it would be nice to sort by folder before filename,
Example:
Disc -> Folder -> Filename
Also, because all of my files are stored within folders, I find it difficult to search by path/folder. This is due to not being able to type commas, and backslahes in the search window. Can this be changed to match what is in the Path/Folder field?
Thanks! |

Thanks for the suggestion regarding the sorting order. I need to mull that one over a bit.
Regarding your music search question... If you do a folder search on the album name, it will show all of the songs for that album.
I guess I could lighten up on the character restrictions for the search criteria field in the next update. |

Hi Norm,
I appreciate the mulling over on sorting. As for the "illegal characters" in Access, Access 2003 doesn't seem to have many restrictions. I've been messing around in there and when I manually type in new records it allows me to type in all kinds of characters. I've had success with commas, quotes, apostrophes, slash, back slash, and even the ampersand, all as text and not as a function. Are there import limitations? I am not all that familiar with Access databases, just kind of learning as I go along.
Thanks Again,
Dirk |
