i just bought a Al Tech MediaGate MG-35 3.5 Divx/Media Center w/ 320GB! off ebay for 265.00, free shipping!
Reason i chose this item instead of tvisto, is because it has a ethernet port, for network sharing!
I hope this is better then Norm's Tvisto
Once i recieve it, I will let u know how it looks |

You got yourself one heck of a deal Hypnotic. I sure hope it works out well.
My TVisto isn't as great as all the reviewers would like you to believe. It plays XVid and DivX files good, but the interface needs work, the remote control is tempermental, and it will only play one MP3 file at a time. It won't play the next file in the folder.
I have been busy working on my new site, so I haven't had time to write up an official review. _________________ ActionScrambler makes protecting your published Flash SWF Actionscript code simple. Great news. I read through the eBay description of your new device and it sounds awesome.
Please report back with your findings regarding networking the device to be a media server.
The eBay fella claimed that he would preload a bunch of video files on your hard drive... I am curious as to what the fella placed on it for you. _________________ ActionScrambler makes protecting your published Flash SWF Actionscript code simple. lol. no there where no preloaded movies, i have access to a private fast server, where i download all the latest movies,
and also. i dont know if this is suppose to happen. but the drive actually saus 298 GB. I dont know if you format the 320 GB drive, it will go back to 298? is that normal? |

Yes... a fromatted 320GB drive reads as 298GB in Windows. It is a game that the drive manufacturers play with the consumer. It has to do with the fact that there are 1024 bits in a byte, not 1000. Do a search on google if you need a better explanation. _________________ ActionScrambler makes protecting your published Flash SWF Actionscript code simple.
