Hello all... I wanted to give you some info regarding my latest project. The folks at MyStreamz.com hired me to make their services more user friendly. I accomplished this by created a web browser based file upload and management system. I also created a narrated video tour that demonstrates how simple and convenient it is to use the MyStreamz.com player.

MyStreamz.com offers a free 40 MB account to anyone that fills out the signup form. You can upload (drag and drop) approximately 10 MP3 files to your account, then stream your music to any computer that has broadband internet access. These streamed files start playing immediately after you click on it in the player. This is demonstrated at the end of the narrated video tour.

Here is a quick look at the features of the new MP3 Management Console I created (clicking the thumbnail images will bring up a larger image):
1) Drag and drop your MP3 files onto the Java upload applet.
2) A progress bar informs you of the upload's status.
3) Create a new folder to move the uploaded MP3 files into.
4) Select (checkboxes) the uploaded MP3 files, then select the folder to move the files into from the pulldown menu.
5) Delete uploaded files by clicking the blue Delete link (shown in thumbnail #4) or Delete an entire folder of MP3 files at once using this pulldown menu.
6) Customize your player by selecting a skin for your player.
7) This image shows the player's interface using the Darkness Descends skin.
8) You can add individual songs to the playlist, or add an entire folder of MP3 files to the playlist by pressing the ALL button.

If you don't have an MP3 collection to upload, you can still enjoy the Web Streamz player or the Free Streamz player.

The Web Streamz player is an ultra-convenient way to listen to popular artists sorted by genre. The music is streamed directly from the artist's website. A link to the artist's website is provided for the currently playing song. This is an excellent way to find new music and the collection of music grows every day.

The Free Streamz player features music from unsigned artists. MyStreamz.com will host and stream songs from unsigned artists free of charge. This player is a true streaming solution, no portion of the streamed MP3 files are left behind on your computer's hard drive.

The website design has undergone a major overhaul and the free accounts have been upgraded from 40MB to 100MB.

The MP3 Management Console has been improved and now lists the filesize of each song... it also lists the amount of space you have remaining at the bottom of the MP3 list.
